Hanging On In There ...

My luscious creamy yellow lupins that I got dirt cheap in the Spring are still continuing to bloom even though it's now late October.

With almost nothing left in my garden for bees to feed on, except Sedums, these final flourishes are providing a bonus autumnal treat.

And when they've finished feeding on nectar, there's some dewy puddles to quench their thirst.

What an absolute gift to have lupines this late in the year. I am living vicariously through your photos.

I would have never dreamed that they would still be blooming! And it looks so good! I bet the bees really appreciate it.

Its good to still see blooms in the garden at this time of year. I used to always get a second flush of Lupins if I cut the early flowering stalks off as soon as they went over. I am adding a picture of your garden and a link to your site on my (Your Gardens)page. You can let me know at some time if you would rather I removed it. alistair
