Have you 'See-dum'... Sorry

Lame ... I know ... but it's Me ...what jer' expect.

So ... today I bring you Sedums ... I have to admit, it's one of those plants that I've just stuck in the garden & apart from it's Spring hack & end of year chop, it get absolutely zilch attention from me ... not even a polite nod as I walk past each day.

But ... no more ... it's not 'til I got the ol' camera out & started trying to get some decent bloggy snaps that I realised that Sedums are indeed worthy of some accolade. In fact ... if they could withstand a huge hug, then that's what I'd give 'em and beg their forgiveness.

So I'm 'biggin'-up' the humble Sedum today ... take a closer look ...  take some real close-up photo's and see something really quite special.
I declare today ... "Hug a Sedum Day" ...  but NOT too tightly.

Do you know I'm ashamed to admit I don't have a single sedum in the garden. Slapped wrists. I don't really like them but on the Anxious Gardeners blog the other day he showed some gorgeous purpley ones, I know the bees love them etc. but to me they look a little like broccoli.

I get excited when they come out in the spring. Then, like you, I don't give them another thought until they start turning those magnificent colors and adding such joy and brilliance to the autumn garden.

Gotta love carefree plants like sedum! And the bees and butterflies like them too, as an added bonus!

I love Sedums, especially the fact that they give great Autumn colour when so much is fading. Great for insects too!

I like them so much I have prepared my next weeks post giving him the headlines. Naw, don't make me hug him the neighbours already think I am a bit weird taking snaps of the plants as I go along the garden paths. And last week I was caught taking shots of someone else's front garden. This blogging thing is very stressful.
