... and multiply it by squillions ...
Ta .. Da!
The Gaura is the most stunning of perennials. I bought this one last summer, it was quite small at the time, but look at it now. It's 4 times the size, neat appearance and still flowering its flamin' socks off. I'm not quite sure which variety it is as I'm guilty of 'label lobbing' (I must break this habit & keep notes), it has reddy, green stems and the flowers just look like flimsy, delicate butterflies ... I love it!
It is officially The Weekend ... whatever you're doing ...have a great one.

So pretty! I bought some little white gaura plants this year - I hope they grow to be that big next year!
Gorgeous...must look out for that one.
Looks like it could be 'Passionate Pink' but there are a lot that look similar. It's one of my favourites too, Jane. Here it flowers through spring, then I cut it back by a third and it thickens up and flowers even more through summer and autumn. It also self-seeds, but not as madly as the common white one.
Indie - if you have the ordinary white one, it will certainly grow. It's a weed here. But there may be white cultivars that I don't know about that are better behaved.
I got one of these in the pathetic plants section of my local nursery on clearance and it has grown to be gorgeous. So glad I got it!
So glad you posted a picture of a mature Gaura as I bought one earlier this year and it is a bit puny still, but now I know what to look forward to.
I've never been able to keep my alive for an entire year, but I have one now that is putting out lots of new growth - I think it may make it! Thanks for showing me what I have to (hopefully) look forward to! Beautiful!
Beautiful flower -- I especially love the close up so you can see the color of the stem. Have a wonderful weekend!
