Excitable in the Garden

I feel like an over excited Carol Klein, who's had a sherry or two, in the garden this week.
There's so much to smile about.

The sun's finally made an appearance, there's been a gentle breeze and the garden has gone beserk.

Everywhere I look there's something new appearing, everything is lush from all the rain we've had. Any gaps in the soil have been filled with plants that this year have doubled in size, doubled in their beauty and eagerness to please the eye.

The Forget-Me-Nots which have just been blue in past years have decided to blossom in shades of pink, mauve & blue this year.

Usually I just walk past them with a polite nod of my hat to acknowledge their existance. This year, I sit a while and gaze in admiration.
Good times!

I'm just starting to get flowers in my Calgary garden. It doesn't matter how many seasons I've gardened it is always exciting. Thanks for sharing the joy.
P.S. Your new template is delightful.

I like the re-vamped blog Jane - I've just done the same over at 'Rosebank'. The forget-me-nots were a bit slow coming but now they are here they are putting on a great show. I have hardly got a square inch of earth spare in my garden at the moment - it looks wonderfully full to the brim.

Hi Jane, Your Forget-Me-Nots are just beautiful! That's amazing that they're blooming in multicolor this year. I agree, it is so nice to just sit a while and gaze in admiration. Love the new look of your blog! :-)

The forget-me-nots are putting on a nice display in my garden too, and all self-seedlings. I like that, no effort.

I have forget-me-nots, too, Jane, but didn't show them this month -- I don't know why. They are like yours -- three colors and so.o.o pretty. They remind me of my Mum who grew them in abundance every year when she was able to tend a garden. P. x

Wow Jane, I don't know what looks the most fabulous, your Forget me nots or your face lift.

I love these photos!! I will definitely get forget me nots in my garden, if I ever have one. We used to have them at the cottage in my grandmothers garden. This post made me think of that. In fact, it has inspired me to start making a list of plants that I want to have in my garden once :)
